How Sherpaa Treats

1,500 conditions

Most people assume the only way doctors diagnose you is by talking with you and doing a physical in a room. In reality, for the vast majority of medical conditions, the exam is one minor data point that leads to a diagnosis. Most medical conditions have almost zero physical findings. Of course, some things, like a bacterial ear infection, are diagnosed exclusively by a physical exam. But those are only about 50 out of the 1,500 most common primary care conditions. It’s even less than 50 when that physical exam can be replaced by a photo.

Here’s what doctors use to diagnose you:

  • ✚ Lots of questions about your symptoms (this can be done online)

  • ✚ Physical exams (photos, thermometer readings, etc. can be shared with your doctor online)

  • ✚ Lab and imaging tests (your Sherpaa doctor can order tests, get results, and diagnose you)

  • ✚ Frequent check-ins to ensure you’re getting better

As you can see, much of this can be done online. In fact, it’s far better online because office visits are time-consuming and expensive. It’s so much easier to send a message or talk on the phone. Over the last 7 years, our doctors have perfected what can be done online vs. what needs to be seen in-person.
